Applications for Mills Selig’s Training Contract Opportunity are now open to Final Year Law Students and Law Graduates who have applied for, or plan to apply to the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and require a legal training contract starting September 2023. Mills Selig’s Training Contract opportunity will provide corporate and commercial legal experience in one of Northern Ireland’s top legal firms.
The programme provided by Mills Selig offers students the opportunity to work across a range of departments, from property, to corporate, to litigation and beyond, gaining invaluable exposure to high value and complex matters. Students will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team, including partners of the firm, on a daily basis.
As a local and independent law firm, Mills Selig takes pride in upskilling trainees, and challenges them to excel at all times. The variety of work will put trainees in direct contact with clients, getting them as close to the legal matter as possible in order to gain significant experience that may help shape their future career.
Trainees will also join one of the many committees within Mills Selig and will work with their team to initiate and plan activities such as social outings, business development meetings and charity events. Trainees will also have the opportunity to sit on the Mills Selig diversity committee and be instrumental in the progression of ideas for the future of the firm.
All trainees will be assigned a mentor who will be in regular contact to discuss progress and will help offer guidance where needed.
Mills Selig has a strong record of offering newly qualified positions to its trainees at the end of their training contacts, and this year is no exception.
