Aveen graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2015 with a degree in Law (LLB). After having worked as a legal analyst in global corporate firms in Belfast and Australia and as an In-house paralegal in a “Big 4” accountancy firm in Dublin, she began her apprenticeship with Mills Selig in October 2020 and qualified as a solicitor in October 2022.
Aveen is a member of the firm’s Climate & Energy team and has been involved in a number of significant acquisitions and disposals of renewable energy assets and large scale refinancing of renewable projects. She regularly supports in the negotiation and drafting of share purchase agreements, disclosure letters, ancillaries and various industry specific contracts including power purchase agreements and operation & maintenance agreements.
As a member of the firm’s Corporate team, Aveen has an extensive range of experience assisting with corporate and commercial transactions including company incorporations, reorganisations, share sales, reviewing commercial contracts and drafting key ancillary corporate documents. She has been involved in numerous share sales and acquisitions from their inception and has coordinated the due diligence process and drafting of transaction documents.

- Assisted local wind turbine investor in securing significant funding from global vendor finance company to increase funding across two of their wind farms.
- Undertook a two month client secondment to KX Systems Inc’s Belfast office.
