On Friday 18 June the team at Mills Selig once again pulled on their cycling gear and completed a six hour spin-a-thon for our new charity – Angel Wishes NI, raising the hefty sum of £750!

Mills Selig, known best for being one of Northern Ireland’s most innovative and progressive corporate and commercial law firms, turned out a relay team who took turns to complete their spins while colleagues collected donations from passers-by.

Stationed directly outside their city centre office on Arthur Street, the atmosphere was lively as bystanders cheered messages of encouragement and support while others took the time to stop and speak with the team, learning about the services provided by the Angel Wishes NI.

Thanking the public for their generous donations and support, Maeve Fisher, Partner at Mills Selig said:

“For everyone who donated, supported us and cheered us on, thank you. Choosing Angel Wishes NI as our charity for 2021 was a simple decision for Mills Selig. In the spirit of our own values; exceptional, supportive, positive and teamwork, we wanted to help Angel Wishes NI in their mission to provide the much needed support to families who have children diagnosed with cancer related conditions.”

Angel Wishes was set up in 2016 by Gaye Kerr in memory of her two children, Helen aged 3 and Brian aged 10, who both sadly passed away with cancer-related conditions.

Angel Wishes supports children throughout NI with cancer-related conditions; through Gaye’s lived experience, Angel Wishes is now there to offer the vital support required in these situations. Angel Wishes is made up of volunteers and 100% of all proceeds raised through fundraising and donations goes directly into supporting families.
