For the second year running, Mills Selig was involved in two of the biggest prizes awarded at the recent Insider Dealmakers Awards 2018.
Our corporate team picked up the main award of the night, Deal of the Year (over £10m), for the multi-million pound investment into BA Kitchen Components by H2 Equity Partners. The Mills Selig team, led by Kathryn Walls, worked closely with the corporate finance team at Hannaway CA while Eversheds Sutherland and PWC advised H2 Equity Partners on this significant transaction. The judges were impressed not only with the ‘scale and ambition of the deal, but with its collaborative nature with all parties working together to position the company correctly to make it highly attractive for investment’.
This success was followed up by the Private Equity/Venture Capital Deal of the Year, for the Investment in Auditcomply by BGF, First Derivatives & Clarendon/CoFundN, where our team advised both BGF and First Derivatives. This investment stood out as ‘a superb example of investors bringing more than just money to the table’.
We were also delighted that Glenn Watterson from our corporate team was shortlisted in the Young Dealmaker of the Year category.
Chris Guy, Head of Corporate, commented, ‘We are delighted that the quality of our work has been recognised through our involvement in these award winning transactions. These deals demonstrate the strength and breadth of our team and our commitment to providing strategic advice in market leading deals.’
